A self-taught artist who has spent many years learning my craft through observation and practice. For many years worked in the field of comic books until finally becoming disenchanted with the business and fandom side. Switched full-time to painting in watercolor in 2007 and a couple years later tried my hand at oil painting. Now work in oil, watercolor and ink on a project-by-project basis. Biggest influences as an artist are the great illustration artists of the 20th Century: Barclay, Briggs, Flagg, Baumhofer, Parker, Cornwell, Wyeth, et al. A holdover from my time in comics is the desire to tell stories through my work in an illustrative sense.
