My name is Austin Gabriel Pittman. I love to paint and draw.I think of my image making process as something like visual jazz. I touch upon a few of the subjects that are spinning around inside my head and start playing with images that I associate with the ideas I'm entertaining. I really enjoy history, especially art history, and I have always been fascinated with Gothic cathedrals. One of my favorite aspects of those fantastic structures are the ceilings. My drawing uses the ceiling of a cathedral in York as part of it's setting. I also am fascinated by 1920's artistic sensibilities. Art nouveau and the styles of that era's culture has always attracted me. These concepts and a love of album art produced in the twentieth century combine to form a unique image that is about style, structure, and the sacred.
