Ashley Miller received her Master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a concentration in Health Behavior and Health Education. She also received her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan as well. Ashley works at the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center (MADC) as a part of their Outreach and Recruitment Team. She develops and facilitates programs for individuals living in the community with dementia. Ashley enjoys bringing her passion for art into her work at the MADC and has planned multiple art making sessions for individuals with dementia and their caregivers as she believes that art making has great potential to improve an individual's wellbeing and sense of self. She has seen first hand how art making provides a platform for individuals with dementia and their caregivers in which they are able to have shared, equitable exchanges with one another that provide great value to both. Ashley loves to create art in her free time and enjoys being able to submit the art she has created for a chance to display in ArtPrize.
