Art happens - All you have to do is show up! I have been “showing up” to create art for over 40 years. I received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from Siena Heights University in 1981. My love of art blossomed with my passion for entrepreneurship and in 1985. I opened an art gallery, Gildner Gallery, and floral shop, The Coop, in Cheboygan, MI. I also serve as the Artist-in-Residence for Iron One Studio in Onaway, Michigan and Adjunct Professor of Ornamental Welding at the Industrial Arts Institute in Onaway. Cheboygan and Onaway . In 2I joined a group to spearheaded the creation of Ottawa Art Park, a community public art space that was developed out of a vacant lot. Currently I manage the rotation of art installations and exhibits for the Park. All of my interests complement each other. The flower shop compliments the gallery with fragrant flowers and plants for the colorful artwork. Iron One Studio keeps me busy making metal artwork and teaching. Please stop in to see the pleasure art adds to a person’s surroundings. Art is a part of my life and I love it.
