David N. Kitler has two objectives: to bring the “wild” within reach of those who have not experienced it, and to provide a reminder to those who have. He has always been intrigued by nature’s intricate details: “God is an amazing designer. The closer you look, the more there is to see…” It is this intricacy, combined with the subtleties of mood and environment, that Kitler attempts to capture in his paintings. A member of the prestigious Society of Animal Artists, the Artists for Conservation Foundation, and Canada’s Group of Twelve, Kitler has been invited to exhibit in North America's major art shows. His paintings, which reflect his extensive travels, have received numerous Best of Show awards, and are part of corporate and private collections the world over. Kitler’s reputation as an innovative artist, an enthusiastic teacher, and passionate conservationist has led to the publication of numerous articles, instructional DVDs, speaking engagements, and a sponsored expedition.
