RHG 26 - Rocket

Rockets have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would read anything about rockets, collect many books on the subject and follow the Apollo space programs for every launch. I’ve launched a few rockets myself and shared that passion with my son. Throughout the years, one photo stayed present with me. Robert H. Goddard standing next to his invention, the world’s first ever liquid-fueled rocket. Many years later my inquisitive son, in the process of taking an old computer apart, has left some of the parts lying around our studio. I was drawn to the CRT monitor sitting on the ground. There was my rocket engine - turned upside down or rather screen side down. I was brought back to that photo and hung it on the wall. I started visualizing the rocket and it was taking shape in my head. Scrap metal and found objects were used to create an experimental rocket, a tribute to Goddard and his incredible mind. A visual invitation to dream beyond possible and exploration.
