The Cell: Its Manifesto

Christine Towner's avatar Christine Towner

These challenging times have encouraged us to review our current lifestyle, priorities and most importantly our health. Advanced research is uncovering ways to improve the strength of our cells and integrity of the cellular membrane. Dr. Ben Lynch, Epigenetics scientist, has discovered that exposure to toxins, what foods we eat, how we think, and what vitamin deficiencies such as vitamin D could diminish the cell’s ability to fight harder. If the cellular membrane is compromised, a genetic expression can result that signals wrong messages to our immune system. This interaction can “shut down” the ability of the cellular membrane to allow healthy nutrients or even “prevent” negative elements to enter the cell. Subsequently, the quality of the cell is affected. The genetic coding may not be influenced but how it expresses itself will be. In conclusion, the health mantra is eat well, reduce intake and exposure to toxins, supplement when needed and choose positive thinking when possible.
