Together We Are One Community

Harmony

There are three poles containing stacked, ceramic beads. The poles are approximately 5', 6' and 7' tall and each bead is about 6" tall. The tallest pole represents some iconic symbols and artistic forms from countries that have contributed beauty to our world and helped make Michigan a vibrant community. The middle pole represents both common, yet different foods that appear in the many cultures around us, and the language of peace that unites us. The shortest pole is based on the "Coexist" theme and meant to embrace, not simply tolerate the various spiritual paths, sexual presences and gender identities that make us human. .
