Joy Of Biloxi

Zechariah Swartz's avatar Zechariah Swartz

“Joy of Biloxi” is a triptych of 3 portraits dedicated to my mom; 3 different styles, 1 image, and countless hours of finding clovers. The pieces exemplify the concept that creativity is individual, unique self-expression. The clovers are my unique factor therefore I must utilize unique solutions in application, presentation, & design. “Joy of Biloxi”, is the center pieces of the series: Oil on real 5 leaf clovers With each leaf a pixel. I have been saving them for seven years & the border is done in entirely 4 leaf clovers. It is estimated that there is 1/10,000 four leaf clovers & 1/50,000 five leaf clovers. “Joy of Biloxi - Mother”, is a monochrome portrait comprising of the shiloettes from painting the 4 leaf clovers layered in the border. “Joy of Biloxi - Mi Madre”, is a pinstripe shiloette with the clover shiloettes filling in the area, painted in the color wheel border. 1 for 1 Thus the Art becomes a derivative of itself creating congruency through a single step.
