Biblical Garden

Victoria Upton's avatar Victoria Upton

After creating this painting, Victoria was astonished to discover that a rendering of the face of Mary Magdalene had been commissioned by National Geographic based on her actual DNA and it was similar in appearance to the painting Victoria created weeks before the rendering was made public. The painting was started during an abstract acrylic continuing education painting class at Kendall College of Art and Design with instructor Ralph Nunzi. Inspired by biblical times and the life of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, Victoria asked that her brush be guided by divine influence as she created her work.
