'American Gastric' is a picture carved into pallet wood, then painted. This work was inspired by Grant Wood’s painting, ‘American Gothic’ . Our messages aren’t the same but do overlap. I’m trying to illustrate the human condition in modern middle class America. American Gastric is 20″ X 43″ X 1.5″ and about 15 lbs hanging.
