"New Moons" 13 round moons (pigmented abstract resin paintings on wood circles) displayed in a circular grid, represents 13 new moons that shine throughout the calendar year of 365 days. Pictures shown are sample rounds displayed at various galleries. I'll be creating 13 new paintings for ArtPrize as part of one 4.5'x4.5' installation (eight 8" rounds, four 10" rounds, and one 12" round in the center), see New Moons diagram. This multimedia project is in partnership with Global Sisterhood ( with a following of 70,000, in which each new moon painting represents women gathering from around the world during each new moon to discuss a specific theme of empowerment. Throughout the months of September and October 2018, they will be releasing my poetry films and print for each moon through their platform with recognition to the ArtPrize venue hosting this art installation (FB/globalsisterhoodmovement).
