All of the Newaygo High School Art students worked together with 5, 2nd grade classrooms to create a large collaborative art piece. 3 canvases were covered by the 2nd graders with warm and cool tissue paper. Every 2nd grader created a butterfly on Styrofoam that was later printed by the HS students on tissue paper. The High School students attached the butterflies to the canvases and hand stitched butterflies out of canvas material that was attached to the stretched canvas and many other extras were also added. After all the creativity was finished all the students enjoy cookies and punch to celebrate their hard work.
