Color Your Own Shiny Red Nothing

Jeremiah Strickland's avatar Jeremiah Strickland

Jeremy Strickland’s ArtPrize installation is an interactive exhibit where observers are invited to collaborate with the artist by coloring the displayed artworks with provided crayons, markers, and colored pencils. Strickland is a multi-faceted artist from the greater Cincinnati area who now lives in Holland, MI. In his work, he explores existential philosophy and human relationships with technology and nature with dark absurdist humor, creating bizarre and awe-inspiring worlds. At the Harmony Hall exhibit, observer/collaborators will be treated to the strange sight of a tortoise with a city growing out of its back, a doomed underwater funeral, a family photo at the site of a fossilized giant’s skull and much more. “This is more than just your normal gaze-past exhibit,” says George Quizena of Holland's Be Conscious Studios. “It’s one where viewers can use their own imagination by interacting with the art itself. It’s a great adventure for the whole family.”
