Abiding In The Shadow

Jeff Best's avatar Jeff Best

What's in a shadow? The positioning of a light source can convey an ominous, foreboding feeling from a shadow. However, given context by its environment this same shadow can bring forth a feeling of strength, courage and an indomitable spirit. Imagine an environment of a half dozen hungry wolves stalking their prey as they work their way down a mountain side. A 24 foot mountain structure with these wolves keeping pace with the victim making his way through the valley floor. At first glace you feel sorry for the outnumbered victim as other than his natural abilities it seems his fate is sealed. Until his large shadow is noticed on the face of the mountain. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." When facing seemingly bad odds, stalked by things that want to do harm the refuge is in the shadow. This multiple piece, barbed wire sculpture will draw people in from a distance as they too want to Abide In The Shadow.
