Colorful stained glass "books" adorn this framed "bookshelf." High school shop students framed in the Plexiglas. Middle school students cut the colorful stained glass into rectangular pieces and broke the black opaque glass into small organic shapes. Next, we glued the "books" onto small squares. The black glass was glued onto the negative space of the squares. These squares were glued onto the framed structure in a quilt-like formation, which was grouted in brown and back-lit with colorful LED lights. This project was funded by Edward Jones of Reed City and Mr. and Mrs. David Langworthy of Reed City, and created for Reed City Area District Library where "Adventure Awaits" all who enter.
