THE FAMILY TREE Everyone has a story to tell. This is what my wife, Donna, has found in her never-ending search for our ancestors. A Father jailed in the distant past, a great grandfather who went to the store for a pack of cigarettes and never returned, my 3rd great grandfather who was a lighthouse keeper in Wisconsin and my namesake who marched with Sherman in the Civil War. The stories to be told are there to discover and add richness to a family’s history. These, along with a wealth of fading old photos, inspired me to paint both sides of my family as far back as 7 generations. Besides starting a family dialog these paintings will be available far beyond the old disintegrating photos.
