I started creating "The Shocker" as a means to express an idea. I wanted to convey a sense of fear, a sense of loneliness, and of course a sense of Shock. This is also a self-portrait of me. Think of "The Shocker" as a wooden dollar bill but with my face in the center. Standing eight foot tall, six foot wide, and made of wood is "The Shocker". I am using a wood-burning tool as a medium. There are five different cultures making up the border and they are: Polynesian, African, Irish, Aztec, and Native American. Stay Sassy concludes the border and it's also my brand's slogan. There are multiple styles I used while making the border and center artwork. Inside the portrait and center artwork I am using pointillism, or using dots to create an object. The Aztec side of the border, the picture with all of the circles, was also made with pointillism. Everywhere else I used hatching to add value.
