"The Forgotten War" is an realistic composition of art. This art piece is dedicated to my father and the other 1,456 fallen soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country from Michigan. This is a fence mounted with barbed wire, posters, pictures, and many military artifacts that have been on loan to me by the Fort Custer's Historical museum. Many of the military certificates, pictures, mail and posters are my own personal possessions inherited from my family. The barbed wire represents the soldier who are still standing face to face on the 38th parallel separating North Korea and South Korea. This is still a volatile area and much discussion is necessary to come to an amicable resolution. The purpose of this art piece is to honor the Korean Veterans and their families, We Have Not FORGOTTEN...... We must never forget to honor and take care of our veterans.
