Touching Heaven

Diane Neas's avatar Diane Neas

This entry consists of three panels. Each is 4ft x 5ft. The finished piece will be 12ft x 5ft. Materials include wood, light spackle, chicken wire, paper mache, stained glass, acrylic paint. The image depicted is that of an angel, which stands nearly the entire twelve feet, and is my daughter. My daughter, Becca, was killed in 2007 (locally) by a drunk driver. In this piece I am trying to create my daughter's image in heaven. I believe it is helping me more fully accept her death. Art is my healing space. I want to share both my daughter, as well as the healing capacity of creating art, in this years Artprize.
