The Glass Goat

The Glass Goat is a spectacular life-sized sculpture, covered entirely with stained glass tiles, each piece hand cut by the artist. The eye is captured by the patterns in the glass mosaic. As light catches the glass, playful reflections bounce from the walls and ceiling. It is the culmination of many hours of loving, painstaking work. I created this life-sized sculpture because I live in the city and cannot keep a live goat in my yard. To me the goat represents the source of wonderful milk and cheese. The goat gives us wool for yarn, it's flesh for meat, its skin for leather. It eats unwanted invasives, weeds and shrubs that are difficult to control. It loves to climb and will eat just about anything.
