The effect domestic violence has on children. They hear, they see, they say nothing. This piece is to bring attention to the topic. A boy alone in his room attempting to block the noise. Notice the storm above his head, representing thoughts. The alarm clock illuminated at 9:11 pm, representing an emergency. The time on the alarm clock is symbolic of an emergency. It also represents a time that could be past a child’s bedtime, yet they are awakened by a disagreement as if their alarm clock was set to it. This piece is made of Vine, Compressed, and Pitt charcoal. A small amount of pastel for color.
