Never Alone

This photograph was taken on June 2, 2017 at North Beach Park in Ferrysburg, MI. The Great Lakes have always mesmerized me with their beauty and impact on West Michigan's weather. In short, the only thing stable about Lake Michigan is that it is unstable. Periodically she can add fuel to already angry storms; however, other times Mother Nature allows the lake to give us tanquil and relaxing nights like this that stay with us for a lifetime. As the image shows this was one of those evenings bestowed upon us with a warm, golden sunset reflecting onto the glistening water. Even the seagull, a typically erratic bird seemed to be at peace; not minding the man coming into his space. It appears as though the seagull realizes that despite the vast size of the lake, it is never alone. □ There will be 3 other smaller metal prints on display as well that are not a part of the official entry.
