Eco Girl In A Plastic World

Emily Penny's avatar Emily Penny

About 50 billion plastic water bottles were used in America last year. No matter how eco-conscious our world could become, plastic will never be 100% eliminated. Why don't we put that wasted plastic to a better use? Eco Girl in a Plastic World is a tiny home composed of plastic bottles. This tiny home could be a prototype for a better cause. I have spent a lot of time traveling to the Caribbean because of my personal interest in their culture. There are over 200,000 children in Honduras living on the streets. My tiny home could give them a dry place to sleep at night. I want to share my message with Grand Rapids. Not only am I passionate about sustainability, I want to inspire others to use their talents to impact the world. References: "Bottled Water Facts." Ban the Bottle. N.p., n.d. Web. 07 June 2017.
