Childhood Nightmare

Ericka Kamphuis's avatar Ericka Kamphuis

"An empty room that once was home. The storms seem to get more and more stronger as each day passes. She wished it would just stop storming, in hopes of a sunny day to come. Her demons keep her company. One representing depression, and one representing anxiety. They never leave no matter what. They make a home inside her mind, and like to show themselves in days like this. It seems to be the only company she will have when things get like this." This is a personal piece that is based off of personal life experiences. Over the past year has been a rough year for me. Drastic changes happened in my life which has forced me to reshape my life. New huge challenges were made, but this is what makes a person stronger. I can say that this whole year has made me a stronger person, and now I'm able to put it together into a piece like this using my creative outlet.
