Students from Hudsonville Public Schools will be painting rock fish with a variety patterns representing the uniqueness of each child. Students have discussed how each one of us are unique and by working together we can help make the world a better place. The project is based on the book Only One You, by Linda Kranz. Students have discussed ways in which they can help others and how each individual rock collaborates with one another to create one big special work of art. We will have around 6,000 rocks painted by art students k-12th grade. A large school of brightly painted fish will swim along the river in a rolling spiral. Special thanks to author Linda Kranz for generously approving our project, and to Jessica Moyes at Sharon Elementary for the project inspiration.
