A Pleasant Peninsula is a 6' x 4' ceramic tile mosaic of the state of Michigan. Large cities, natural elements, and bodies of water are all highlighted in this bright, textured, vibrant, and whimsical mosaic. Each tile is handmade with care. The mosaic is comprised of three panels that sit on wooden easels. We are passionate about the state we live in and want to celebrate it through our art! This is a work in progress to be complete by the end of this school year. Over 500 students are working on this collaborative piece. This entry is part of the Youth Collaboration Award category.
