White Iris

Wild white iris are rare in Alaska and very precious. This painting is an original composition created with oil paints on cotton canvas. I am a life-long Alaskan and part of five generations living in Fairbanks. I thrive outdoors surrounded by nature. That is where I feel the most grounded and am able to replenish my creative spirit. I am fantasied organic shapes found in nature which I capture with oil paints on canvas. I am continually amazed by how even the smallest flower is filled with unique shapes and delightful curves.
