DAY for NIGHT is a Fiction-Based, Interactive, AR (Augmented Reality) Project which unfolds as a narrative and revolves around an unnamed protagonist; his movements throughout the city of Grand Rapids, and his chance encounter with the mysterious V. The project consists of two parts: The AUGMENTED STORY which is made up of 23 interactive STORY FRAMES (on exhibit at the Fed Galleries) and The AUGMENTED CITY, which is made up of over 50 STORY MARKERS located throughout the city of Grand Rapids (consisting of landmarks, signs, murals and architectural structures). Both the Story and City contain hidden layers -- IMAGE; NARRATIVE (text); PERFORMANCE (video), and EVENT (location) -- which are triggered by pointing a mobile device towards them. A special AR app called 'Blippar' is required to trigger and interact with the hidden layers and can be downloaded free @ the Apple Store or on Google Play. Complete details can be found @ The Fed Galleries Exhibition and/or @ the artist’s website
