Divine Perspective

Daniel Diehl's avatar Daniel Diehl

Divine Perspective in an interpretation drawing of the 1636 painting by Guido Reni, "The Archangel Michael and Satan". However, in this case, the image was drawn in a distortion. It is warped in such a way that it can barely be recognized as anything other than abstract forms, at first glance. But when a reflective cylinder is placed on the center of the drawing (which is mounted in place) the distorted image corrects itself in the reflection and appears as a flat image on the surface of the cylinder. Best viewed at a 45 degree angle. Table is also included.
