Miss Social Media is a four part exhibition centered around the themes of modern technology and culture. The advent of modern technology has marched in a revolution. It has permeated our experiences of home, business and interpersonal relationships. The arm of Social Media in particular, is a subset, with its own language, rules and norms. This exhibition is satirical commentary on this. Social media has brought to the fore some darker aspects of humanity: the battle with the ego- showing off, keeping up, the need for constant validation. Narcissism, masking, gossiping and shaming. The exhibition follows a life size image of a woman, titled , "Miss Social Media" through a series of activities. The pieces include: Two life-sized coroplast sculptures 24" by 72". These pieces are intended to stand. They are supported by a base. One gallery wrapped, ready to hang glicee print canvas 40" by 40" One gallery wrapped, ready to hang canvas 60" by 50" These may be displayed indoors or outdoors.
