Dottie the Fire-Breathing Dragon

Dottie is an 11ft long carbon steel, all handmade 500-600 pound fire-breathing dragon. The skin is 14 gauge carbon steel with thousands of individual tack welds as the scale texture. After tack weld texture on the skin was added the skin is now overall an 1/8 inch thick. The main body structure is made of 375ft of quarter inch solid round bar, also bent into shape by hand. The wingspan is a little over 11ft of 16 gauge carbon steel. They are each colored with heat from a torch. The baby dragon is attached to mama's front leg with weld. I have 350 hours of work into this sculpture & used over 100 pounds of .035 welding wire. The dragon is capable of breathing fire using propane.
