The Rogue River Dragons

Robin Jensen's avatar Robin Jensen

“The Rogue River Dragons” is a Graphic Novel telling the fun story of Rogi, a young Mallard Duck searching for the mythical dragons that are rumored to live along the Rogue River north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This year’s ArtPrize entry is Episode Two of the story. Episode One was an entry in ArtPrize 2010 and will be included in this year’s ArtPrize display to completely tell the story. Episode Two begins with Rogi meeting a female duck who becomes his partner in the dragon quest. The pages of the Graphic Novel will be printed at 9.5” x 13” and mounted to 3/16” foam core board for the display. A wall area of 10’ to 12’ wide would be ideal for hanging the display. The pages and creature images of the Graphic Novel will be mounted to a shaped background depicting the Rogue River. Another possibility will be a free standing display using a special support system. Some of the characters in the story will be created as layered/shaped relief images for a fun 3-D presentation. Self produced Artist/Books of the Graphic Novel can be available for viewing and purchase. The Episode One Artist/Book can be made available for Venue review. Episode One of “The Rogue River Dragons” can be viewed on my Website at www.RobinJaunt.com/Rogi.htm
