A life size World War 2 army chaplain leads some 50 soldiers and civilians in an outdoor communion service that begins with the Revolutionary War and passes through seven major conflicts into the modern Ara of Desert Storm. From the prafull soldier of our young nation on the far left to the young Army Ranger who survived the beaches on D'day and concluding with a modern day soldier in the deserts of Iraq on the far right. Spaning more than two hundred years of military conflict, reminding us all to maintain enrichment and encouragement in all the seasons of life. The soldiers recognize this, the painting follows them through Sping, Summer, Fall and Winter. Even in the harshest, most painfull battles they face they realize that pausing for spiritual sustanance is vital to carry them through. Trials and tribulations, dealines and obligations befall us all and those are the exact times we need to set aside to pray, listen and have "Communion."
