4 Minutes of Grace

This past year, on July 4th, I was driving home with my family from a weekend trip to Wisconsin. We had just crossed the Michigan state line, from Indiana, when something terrible happened. My wife had noticed that I was driving a little strange and asked me to pull the car over to the side of the highway. I got out of the car and tried to walk off what was bothering me, but after a couple of walks back and forth next to the car, I collapsed from a heart attack. My wife and son sprang into action and called 911 on my cell phone. In less than 4 minutes state troopers came flying down I94 to rescue me! When Trooper Janes arrived he used a difibrillator to start my heart again. Thanks to the quick action of this hero and the grace of God I'm alive today! The image shown is a rough sketch of what I plan to do for this year's ArtPrize. My plan is to connect (3) 24 inch x 30 inch canvases together to create a tri-panel display. The far left canvas will have the background color painted and heart rate line and the badge will be a die cut piece of metal mounted to the canvas with the graphic painted on the metal shape. The other two canvas panels will be traditional oil painted pieces. If you would like to help fund this display, here is the link: https://www.gofundme.com/dans-2017-artprize-painting-fund
