Three Brothers

One week I managed to cajole my three young sons to pose for me so I could paint their portrait in oils. Persuading them to sit still for a few hours a day was no easy task, since each of them is a self-contained perpetual motion machine. But I like to think that my efforts paid off in the sense that I wanted to capture that particular moment in their shared childhoods as well as their common bond as brothers, and I believe this painting does that.
