'Bridge' is a mixed media using river rocks collected from the Muskegon River (river in the piece) and recycled glass from the Newaygo County Recycling Center. The Train Bridge that crosses the Muskegon River in Downtown Newaygo - locally known as "Wisner Canoes Landing" is an icon and been photographed thousands of times and is a place of great memories for the artist. Addicted to rock collecting and kayaking, she decided to put the addiction to use and searched the river for the perfect stones to build the piece. Countless hours spent separating the colors of glass to show the reflections on the water... the bloody fingertips were worth it! All glued in then a two part epoxy poured on to 'glaze' the scene in place. River, Rocks, Glass, Shiny Things, Bridge, Newaygo, Love! What a fantastic experience - thank you for visiting!
