Stand in my memory (self-surveillance)

Toby Kaufmann-Buhler's avatar Toby Kaufmann-Buhler

The "Self-Surveillance" project is based on an idea of memory as an attempt to understand my own personal and familial past, through a variety of methods which have the potential to distort and disrupt one's point of view. Memory, whether internalized mentally or committed to recorded media, is subject to decay and disruption (either as a natural process or a purposeful alteration); it is also always incomplete, however thorough the attempt to capture the detail of experience.
