Folding Prince Charming

I am the oldest of five siblings. Before the long awaited son came, there were four daughters. My second sister, my last single sibling, has not been lucky in love. I hope to change her fate. By combining a Japanese myth of folding 1000 paper cranes to have a wish granted and the Brother’s Grimm tale of the Frog Prince, I have folded, kissed and installed over a thousand origami frogs in a ritual to find my sister Liz - LOVE. To date, I have performed and exhibited "Folding Prince Charming" at the Durham Arts Council and at the Center for Craft Creativity and Design as a part of INTERLUDE AVL. I am prepared to double down and fold a total of 2,016 origami frogs, kiss each and every single one of them for my final installation of "Folding Prince Charming" at ARTPRIZE 8.
