an industrious menagerie

When learning about the habits of animals, I am always amazed at their raw ability to work so diligently without being ruled by laws. My mind runs wild with the possibilities of what animals would do if they were a bit more like us. Would baby beavers be playing pranks on their parents? Would one pound bosses be barking orders about quotas while the lazy moles sit around, unmotivated, rubbing their tired soles? Would the lab rats' hubris lead to the experimentation of "lesser creatures"? My hope is that at least some of them would take the time to enjoy the simpler things in life. <><>Revealing the workplace of modern animals. Created with plasticine clay, traditionally used in the making of claymation films. Characters are photographed on location in West Michigan.
