This canvas is from a photo I took in Little Italy, New York. The technique used is a combination of Georges Seurat’s color theory for Pointillism, and Jackson Pollack's style of Action Painting. The oil painting is done entirely by splattering paint with various viscosities at the canvas using a fairly small brush. With the canvas in an upright position I continually rotate it as residual paint accumulates below the area I'm working, which makes the canvas patchwork of color. This painting is still in progress.
