My entry for ArtPrize 2016, "Mirror of Heaven," is a painting installation, depicting a view of "Kitch-iti-kipi," Michigan's largest freshwater spring, as viewed from the open bottom raft. The Native American's who first discovered the spring, referred to it as, "The Mirror of Heaven." Many years later the spring was purchased by the state of Michigan and protected as part of Palms Book State Park. I invite you to come and experience a 3-dimensional world with crystal clear water, an emerald colored limestone and sand bottom, bubbling fissures, ancient tree trunks, and several swimming trout.
