"Mimi" is a memorial to a beloved companion. At a moderate-to-long distance, the photomosaic is "realistic" with a close affinity to the source image, and up close it serves as a decorative, durable and abstract composition of colorful glass tiles. Using my own proprietary process, photomosaicism is a contemporary update to an ancient medium.
