Keyhole Torus

The Keyhole Torus measures 6'4" x 6'4" x 8' 10". It's a 64 channel animated kinetic sculpture using 64 pieces of argon-filled tubing. Its on board computer holds greater than 500 music samples that are coordinated for each of 6 different animation sequences to respond to the individual actions of each tube as the tubes are lighted, all the while rotating the entire torus on a platform. This piece is suitable for outdoor, but covered installation, and looks best in low light environments. It's sound generation and lighting animation are terrific matches to activate a dimly lighted public space. The Keyhole Torus is a mesmerizing dance party, designed to fascinate viewers (and listeners) at every turn.)
