"Colors represent some aspects of myself and the world I live in." This piece is a series of fifteen intricate, abstract marker drawings on notebook paper. Tyler creates each drawing by starting with an outline drawing in black marker. Then, he carefully and intentionally fills in each section with a variety of colors and hues -- not one white space is left unfilled. Some marker drawings consist of one primary color theme or palette, while others utilize a wide spectrum of bright and bold colors. The shapes created in Tyler's drawings are fluid and organic, and when filled with color, there is a beautiful sense of movement. He prefers to draw on notebook paper because it is lightweight and allows the colors to bleed through to the other side. He also utilizes the lines of the paper as a framework to systematically design and color his drawings. Tyler is participating in ArtPrize as a Juror's Choice Award winner of the 2016 ACTion Art exhibit hosted by Artists Creating Together, Inc.
