The Four Seasons

This piece is a humble attempt to capture the amazing creativity and lavish splendor God has put into His grand design of creation. Here in Michigan, we are blessed to fully experience all four seasons. I wanted to capture that with a combination of intricate detail to represent God's unimaginable complexity and bold expressive color to emphasize each season's feel. Each painting is meant to represent a season: "Winter's Isolation" "Spring's Rebirth" "Summer's Growth" "Fall's Transition." The tree grows in sequence with each painting, getting taller, wider, and the branches longer showing the vibrancy of life and God's desire for abundance. This is also a metaphor for Jesus's desire for our personal growth towards Him through different seasons of life. We all, like the tree, go through times of isolation, times of rebirth, times of growth, and times of transition in our journey...
