Sea Of Stones

While working with The Killer Blues Headstone Project, an organization that raises money to buy headstones for blues artists that lay in unmarked graves, we traveled to Restvale Cemetery outside Chicago to lay down a stone for old friend and harmonica great Gary Primich. Restvale is the final resting place for many blues greats and it was an honor to place Gary's stone just feet from the likes of Muddy Waters, Big Walter Horton and many others. As we finished the ceremony Gary's brother-in-law referred to the cemetery as "A Sea Of Stones" and I thought it was an interesting idea. The Killer Blues Headstone Project, spearheaded by President Steve Salter, has purchased over 75 stones to date and are working their way towards 100. Great work for a truly great cause. I wrote and entered this song to help raise awareness for The Killer Blues Headstone Project. We will be holding a show & fundraiser on September 29 at HOME in The BOB. We hope you join us!
