The Thistle and Rose (Scotland)

Scotland the Thistle and the Rose is a historic reference to the conflicts between England and Scotland. The Thistle is the national flower of Scotland and seems to give insight into the critical role there history has in shaping of this country and its people. I felt a close emotional tie to this beautiful country and have captured some iconic images that convey the true nature of this great country, I intend to choose my four of my favorite photos and enlarge them to 11x14 and either mount them on canvas. I find good photography to be a unique mixture of both Art and Science. I hope my photos offer a unique perspective that comes from the Artist in me that tries to find creative ways to see things that are often missed by others. The science comes in finding the way to capture light with an understanding of how a balance of shutter speed and exposure are used to create an image that accurately shows a view of the world around us.
