MIDWEST GRASSLAND Painting is a sewn rice paper work with watercolor pigment. It is meant to convey a landscape over history, a kind of abstract archeology. My work is process oriented. The work is folded origami to begin and the watercolor is poured into the geometric framework. I cannot see the whole work as I paint. I am interested in enveloping the viewer in an alternate world.
