Eye of Eos

"She had a galaxy in her eyes, A universe in her mind..." Author Unknown ~ Eye of Eos is a combination of both personal recollection and interpretation of a spectacular Corona Aurora Borealis I once  witnessed. A few years ago, one night my husband and I were working in our yard well past dark. After a while, we noticed it had become light again…so much so, that the light source resembled a bright green sun rising in the night sky. When we realized it was the Northern Lights we looked up and saw a mesmerizing iris glowing in a vast array of colors. It was captivating. We couldn’t help ourselves from staring… it was almost as if the colors were dancing. Not only did it make a lasting impression on my mind, but as well on my soul. I hope many more people get to witness an Aurora Borealis during their lifetime, and for those who don’t you can experience it vicariously through my piece Eye of Eos- named after the Greek Goddess.
